Trace Audio Product Warranty Policies

TraceRack™ Limited Lifetime Warranty

Trace Audio warrants to the original purchaser that the structural metal components of TraceRack™ products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use for the lifetime of the product.

If a covered TraceRack product is found to be defective under this warranty, Trace Audio will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product or defective component at no charge, provided the product is returned prepaid and accompanied by proof of purchase.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Warranty Coverage

This Limited Lifetime Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship affecting the structural metal components of TraceRack™ racks, mounting systems, panels, brackets, and other metal products manufactured or sold by Trace Audio.

Replacement products or components may be new or refurbished and will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or ninety (90) days, whichever is longer.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, scuffs, dents, cosmetic blemishes, or other cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality.
  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, improper installation, improper handling, overloading, or unauthorized modification.
  • Damage caused by improper storage, transportation, environmental conditions, or exposure to excessive heat, moisture, chemicals, or corrosive materials.
  • Damage caused by fire, flood, lightning, natural disasters, or other events beyond Trace Audio's reasonable control.
  • Products that have been altered, repaired, refinished, or serviced by anyone other than Trace Audio or an authorized service provider.
  • Consumable items, hardware, fasteners, acrylic components, plastic components, rubber components, electronic components, wiring, accessories, or other non-metal parts unless otherwise specifically covered by a separate warranty.
  • Installation, removal, reinstallation, or labor costs associated with warranty service.

Warranty Service

To obtain warranty service, the original purchaser must contact Trace Audio and provide proof of purchase along with a description of the issue.

The purchaser is responsible for all shipping and handling costs associated with returning products for warranty evaluation unless otherwise required by applicable law. Trace Audio reserves the right to inspect and test returned products to determine whether a warranty claim is eligible for coverage.

Warranty service options, replacement parts availability, and response times may vary by location.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trace Audio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, inability to use, or performance of any TraceRack product, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of equipment use, or business interruption.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Legal Rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state, province, or country.

No portion of this warranty may be reproduced without the prior written consent of Trace Audio.

Lifetime Definition: For purposes of this warranty, "lifetime" means the useful service life of the original product as determined by Trace Audio and does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser.

 

 

Trace Audio Lifetime Limited Warranty – Audio Cables

Trace Audio warrants to the original purchaser that Trace Audio audio cables will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product under normal use and service.

For purposes of this warranty, "lifetime" refers to the useful service life of the product while owned by the original purchaser. Lifetime does not refer to the life expectancy of the purchaser. This warranty remains in effect for as long as the product is owned by the original purchaser and the product remains reasonably serviceable or replaceable by Trace Audio.

If a Trace Audio audio cable fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship, Trace Audio will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the cable with the same product or a comparable product of equal value.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase may be required to obtain warranty service.

What Is Covered

This warranty covers defects resulting from:

  • Faulty materials
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Failure of connectors, terminations, or cable assemblies under normal intended use
  • Defects present during normal installation and operation

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper handling
  • Physical damage caused by crushing, impact, pinching, cutting, excessive tension, or excessive bending
  • Improper installation, modification, or unauthorized repair
  • Exposure to excessive heat, chemicals, moisture, or environmental conditions beyond the product's intended use
  • Cosmetic wear, discoloration, scratches, or normal aging that do not affect functionality
  • Damage resulting from accidents, natural disasters, or other events beyond Trace Audio's reasonable control

Warranty Service

To request warranty service, contact Trace Audio with a description of the issue and proof of purchase. Trace Audio reserves the right to inspect any product submitted for warranty evaluation before approving a repair or replacement.

Customers are responsible for shipping products to Trace Audio unless otherwise required by applicable law. Trace Audio may, at its discretion, cover return shipping on approved warranty claims.

Replacement products may be new, refurbished, or functionally equivalent products of comparable value if the original product is no longer available.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trace Audio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use any Trace Audio product, including but not limited to loss of equipment use, business interruption, loss of revenue, or loss of data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state, province, or country.

Trace Audio reserves the right to modify this warranty policy for future products without affecting warranties previously issued.

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
